We've seen The Avengers

"The Avengers" held its one and only advanced media screening this morning at The Grand Cathay, and it is times like this that our job gets to see some perks. (Publishing doesn't really pay that well, and we might as well tell you there's not much glamour in it either.)

The verdict: we can't tell you much since reviews are embargoed till next week, and we aim to follow this directive because we want to be invited to future Walt Disney premiere screenings.(The "Brave" trailer looked great!)

At least we can tell you that:

● A few superfans are walking around with massive bragging rights, having won a Disney/Avengers Facebook contest to attend the screening. Upside: though they thought they were only getting a 45-minute preview, but by Odin, they got to see the whole movie! Downside: they are now duly busted by their respective bosses, as their whereabouts on this Monday morning are now known.

● We were wondering whose muscles would be bigger: Captain America, Thor or Hawkeye. But then it hit us... Duh, of course it's The Hulk! (This constitutes the only spoiler we'll let out.)

● The cast plays to all their strengths: the ones who are great with the quips got to be great with the quips and the ones who could kick ass and take names... kicked ass and took names.

● You will want to see this movie!
