Lady Gaga wants to dress up as the Pussycat Dolls with her friends this Halloween.

The eccentric singer tweeted that she had finally made a decision about which costume to wear, telling a Twitter pal that the girl band will be her inspiration.

Led by front woman Nicole Scherzinger, the group is known for their feisty lyrics, raunchy dance moves and sexy costumes.

The line-up also featured Melody Thornton, Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta and Carmit Bachar and the group disbanded in 2010.

“OMG THATS IT WE'LL BE PUSSYCAT DOLLS FOR HALLOWEEN!! I WAS REALLY STRUGGLING WITH THAT DECISION BUT ITS ALL CLEAR NOW [sic],” Gaga wrote on her profile.

The star is known for her love of quirky and boundary-pushing outfits and stage costumes, often causing controversy with her get-ups.

The Edge of Glory singer didn’t reveal whether she was being serious about her suggested Halloween costume, or which of the Pussycat Dolls she would like to dress up as.

Fans will have to wait until 31 October to see what the star will come up with when the spooky holiday is traditionally celebrated all over the world.

Other stars known to be fond of the event are Heidi Klum and Seal as well as the Hilton sisters.
