EN Star Style - Katy Perry does lunges and thrusts to maintain her curves.

The 29-year-old singer has a striking figure, which she often shows off in quirky outfits and bold costumes on stage. She works closely alongside trainer Harley Pasternak in order to keep in shape and the fitness expert has revealed his approach to Katy's routine.

"To stay toned and fit, but retain her curves, Katy aims to exercise five days a week, doing short, high-intensity workouts - including lunges and hip thrusts," he explained to British magazine Closer. "These tone, as well as boost her metabolism, and can be done anywhere."

Katy is currently in the midst of her The Prismatic World Tour, which started on May 7 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and ends on March 22 2015 in Stockholm, Sweden. Harley has also catered to her needs during her travels, putting her on a certain diet.

"I've cut out alcohol and fatty foods," he added. "Breakfasts are things like an egg white omelette with wholegrain toast, lunch is a salad with grilled chicken, and dinner is a prawn and vegetable stir fry."

The Dark Horse musician previously spoke about how she cut alcohol out of her life for three months last year to "re-programme" herself. She also found she lost weight in the process and leads a healthier lifestyle since then.

“It worked wonders – I felt less anxious and dropped 5lbs.!” she gushed to British magazine Look. “My hair was stronger, my nails were stronger. It really is all about what you put in your body. Also, your gut affects your psychological state and your energy levels.

“I probably drink about 20 percent of the alcohol I used to."
