Karen Mok sends father on his final journey

21 Feb – Grieving actress Karen Mok recently held the funeral and memorial service for her late father, Alan Morris (known to many as Uncle Mo).

As reported on Wenweipo, on 19 February, the actress, accompanied by husband Johannes Natterer, mother Mok Ho Man Yee, and brother, Trevor Morris, attended the funeral service at the Hong Kong Funeral Home, before sending the remains to the Cape Collinson Crematorium.

The actress, who previously expressed her wish to hold a private funeral for her dear father, did not invite a lot of people except a few relatives, as well as good friend, Leslie Cheung's former manager, Florence Chan.

The service began around 10am, after the family arrived with seven cars tailing behind. The service went for two hours, before Florence appeared at the main entrance and attracted the media attention.

A few minutes later, the family boarded the seven cars and followed the hearse carrying Uncle Mo to Cape Collinson, where the cremation went on for 20 minutes.

However, Karen and her family have turned down media interviews during the the whole ordeal.

In an interview later on, Karen said that she will reduce her workload as much as possible to spend more time with her family, especially her mother.

Uncle Mo passed away on 27 January due to heart attack. He was 76.
