John Galliano is reportedly moving to Los Angeles.

The shamed designer has been largely out of the limelight since he was sacked from Christian Dior last year. He was dismissed after he was accused of making racist comments during an argument, and was later found guilty of making anti-Semitic remarks.

Galliano checked into rehab to get help for addictions to alcohol and prescription medication. Since then he has only been seen a few times, but was in Los Angeles late last month.

During his stay, he was apparently heard telling friends he and his partner Alexis Roche are planning to set up home in the American city.

“[He was] dropping the hint that Roche would like to style celebs, and that they're looking for an LA apartment, since the designer has finished his long stint in recovery,” writes The Hollywood Reporter.

Galliano was seen at the Tower Bar restaurant, wearing shorts with a kilt over the top. Diane Kruger was also there and the pair seemed pleased to see each other, with the designer commenting on how well the model-and-actress looked.

Galliano was linked to the design job at re-launched label Schiaparelli, but the speculation is believed to be unfounded.
