Ji Il Joo Will Be Playing Ji Chang Wook\'s Father

[by Nawael Khelil] Actor Ji Il Joo is now part of the cast of KBS2’s new drama ‘Healer’.

We got familiar with Ji Il Joo’s face through various dramas such as ‘Golden Time’, ‘Samsaengi’, ‘Basketball’ or ‘Hotel King’ where the actor displayed various acting skills and distinct characters who caught our attention. He is back now with ‘Healer’.

This drama, which marks the comeback of Song Ji Na (scriptwriter for the popular ‘Sandglass’ in 1995), deals with an incident that happened during the 90s and how three different people will try to discover the truth about it.

Ji Il Joo will be playing Seo Jung Hoo (Ji Chang Wook)’s father when he was a 20 years old engineer for an illegal broadcasting station. He will appear through Ji Chang Wook’s memories, as a young and wild man who used to run an illegal broadcasting station with his friends until that incident.

The public is really curious about the kind of role that Ji will be playing this time, as he used to charm everyone with his handsome features and great skills.

Ji Il Joo also shared his feelings about getting casted in ‘Healer’: “When I read the script, the story was so solid, so interesting, that I ended up reading the whole thing. It’s an honor for me to be a part of this great project, and I’ll do my best so as the viewers can feel as much as emotion that I felt while reading the script.”

Meanwhile, ‘Healer’ will start airing after ‘Tomorrow Cantabile’ on December 8 and stars Ji Chang Wook, Yoo Ji Tae, Park Min Young and Ji Il Joo so far. (photo by King Kong Entertainment)
