2 Apr – Female singer Jang Jae-in's contract with Kiwi Music and composer Kim Hyung-seok has expired and will make an independent journey in the music business.
According to Koreaboo website, the contract between the Mnet's "Superstar K2" star and Kiwi Music expired.
Jang Jae-in's representative said, "Presently Jang Jae-in is returning to Howon University's practical music department and will for the time being focus on her music classes. From now on, in order to present her next formal album, she will be focusing on her musical activities."
They also revealed, "In order to keep in contact with the public, she will perform in little theatres and also street performances. Jang Jae-in has a hope to once more be able to breathe alongside the masses."
The singer shot to fame through Mnet's "Superstar K2" and signed an exclusive contract with Kiwi Music in January 2011.
