Bang Shi-hyuk's GLAM debuts in July

27 May – It was reported that songwriter Bang Shi-hyuk will be producing his very own girl group for the first time in his career of 14 years.

As reported on Koreaboo, on 25 May, his agency, Big Hit Entertainment announced that in collaboration with Source Music, their girl group, GLAM, will be making their debut on 16 July.

It was also revealed that the two companies have been working together to produce GLAM – short for "Girls Be Ambitious" for the past three years.

A representative revealed, "GLAM is comprised of five members talented in singing, dancing, and playing instruments. We hope that they'll follow in their group's name to produce ambitious, bright music."

Bang Shi Hyuk added, "I actually feel sorry calling GLAM a girl group because they have genuine musical talent and passion. As opposed to producing them, it's more accurate to say that I helped them realise their hidden musical potential and stayed by their side."

GLAM will be making their debut through an SBS-MTV reality music drama titled "GLAM" in early June prior to their debut in July.
