Aya Liu keeps mum about husband's identity
15 May - It's been nearly a year since Aya Liu gave birth to her daughter and got married, but it seemed that the father of her child remains a mystery.
As reported on Apple Daily News, the Taiwanese TV personality, who last year revealed that she had married her American-Chinese boyfriend Tony in the US, has never once shown any photograph of her husband online, or even been seen with him in public.
When asked to describe her husband, Aya only stated that Tony was once married without a child.
As for the reason why she decided to keep her husband's identity a secret, Aya stated, "Because of his faith, and because I am a celebrity. The two of us have unique backgrounds and I didn't want the public opinion to disrupt our peaceful lives."
Aya also stressed that her husband has been very involved in their daughter Ava's life, changing her diapers, bathing her every day, and even taking time to show his appreciation to Aya.
"He is the best partner in my life," she said.
Curious Netizens revealed that Aya's husband is the leading Buddhist teacher in North America, Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, after they found a marriage certificate of one Liu Han-ya (Aya's Chinese name) and "Arnae, Ricky Kwahu, formerly known as Rinpoche, Dzogchen Ponlop".
