7 May – "Men in Black" star Will Smith revealed that he hopes to work with "Life of Pi" director, Ang Lee one day.
According to Asianpopnews website, while speaking to the media at the press conference of his new movie, "After Earth" with his son, Jaden Smith in Taiwan recently, Will light-heartedly expressed, "We had a few projects that we were both slipping around at different time. I love Ang Lee's work and do tell him that I am getting old!"
"Director Lee, I have to come to your hometown, looking for you. I have been working out and I have been eating right. I am ready when you are ready," he jokingly added.
When told about Will's intention to work with him, Ang Lee said, "Will is a friendly guy and we had discussed collaboration before, but the theme of the film was not compatible then."
The famed director stated that he would certainty work with him should there be a suitable script.
Meanwhile, "After Earth" will be the second movie featuring the father and son team, Will and Jaden, after "The Pursuit of Happyness". Jaden also had a cameo on Will Smith's "Men in Black II".
