American actress Rachel McAdams has posed wearing a maternity bra and double breast pump for Girls Girls Girls magazine.
The 40-year-old mum gave birth to her first child, a son whose name she prefers to keep private, in April.
In the image, shot by LA-based photographer Claire Rothstein, the actress is seen propped up on a bed, with a printed Versace jacket slung over her shoulders, her hair slicked back and her nursing bra on full display. Bulgari diamonds and a lick of red lipstick complete the look.
Posing the image on her Instagram account, Rothstein explained how the shot was a happy accident, rather than a pre-determined set-up.
The ‘Mean Girls’ and ‘The Notebook’ actress was breastfeeding between takes and so the pair decided to incorporate the reality of the shoot into the final image.

Other shots from the vintage-inspired shoot include one of McAdams posing in a pink polka shirt dress and white sling backs, while another sees the actress wearing a Bulgari choker in a sultry black and white shot.

Rachel McAdams isn’t the only person to combine high fashion with a breast pump.
Earlier this year, model Valeria Garcia made history as the only model to walk the catwalk wearing a breast pump.
Garcia – who gave birth to her second child in June – debuted the world’s first wearable breast bump beneath a suit at the Marta Jakubowski SS19 show.
Back in 2014, actress Olivia Wilde also did a photoshoot for Glamour magazine breastfeeding her son Otis, who was five months old at the time.
