Netflix just canceled ANOTHER show, and love is dead

Bad news, fans of Netflix’s Love: The rom-com series will end with Season 3. Judd Apatow’s take on the LA love story/comedy/kind of not a comedy debuted its second season on Netflix last year, after being given a two-season commitment from Netflix off the bat. While we’re sad to see it go, we also appreciate when shows know when to take their final bows. Because cancellation is always sad, but getting a satisfying conclusion is always nice.

Luckily, Apatow seems to feel that Love will end at an appropriate point.

“I am really excited about the third season of Love,” he said of the final season. “I think it is our sweetest, funniest season and ends our story in a beautiful way.”

At least there’s that to look forward to!

Netflix also had some really nice words to say about the creative minds involved in the series, which we always love to hear.

Plus, enthusiasm for a final season is usually a good sign we’re not going to leave feeling disappointed.

“We couldn’t have hoped for better companions to go on this journey of Love with than the incomparable Judd Apatow, Gillian Jacobs, Paul Rust, Lesley Arfin and the rest of the fantastic cast and crew who have brought this special series to life. Over three seasons, viewers around the world have laughed, cringed, and cried with Mickey and Gus, and we are excited to share this concluding journey with their fans.”

We’re excited to go on this concluding journey, too, when the series returns to Netflix on March 9th. It’s almost enough to make up for being sad it’s ending.
