Netflix's most expensive movie ropes in another star

Michael Bay's "Six Underground" just found another cast member.

18 Aug – Ryan Reynolds and his fellow cast members of "Six Underground" recently welcomed another star into the fold.

French actress Melanie Laurent is the newest addition to the Netflix-backed movie that will be directed by Michael Bay, Variety reported.

Just like the plot of the movie, details of her role are being kept under wraps. So far the only miniscule detail of the movie that fans are treated to is the chairback image (see above) shared by Bay.

The actress has starred in primarily French works but fans of Hollywood productions would remember her from movies such as "Inglourious Basterds", "Now You See Me", and "By the Sea".

This year she stars in the upcoming American historical drama, "Operation Finale".

Joining Laurent as the newcomer is U.S.-born Iranian actor Payman Maadi, who previously worked with Bay for the biographical war film, "13 Hours".

As mentioned earlier, Ryan Reynolds is part of the confirmed cast, along with Dave Franco, Corey Hawkins, Adria Ariona, Manuel Garcia-Ruffo, Ben Hardy and Lior Raz.

"Deadpool 2" writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are penning the script for the movie that is produced by Skydance Productions' David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger, alongside Ian Bryce and Bay.

With a budget of around USD150 million, this makes "Six Underground" Netflix's most expensive movie to date.

It is slated for a 2019 release on Netflix.
