Netflix announces 'The Get Down Part II' with new teaser

Netflix have announced the return date of "The Get Down Part II."

The second series of the show is set to hit down on the streaming site on April 7.

Told through the lives and music of a crew of South Bronx teens, "The Get Down" tells the story of the transformation of 1970s New York City.

The new series will continue to follow Shaolin Fantastic (Shameik Moore), Ezekiel "Books" Figuero (Justice Smith), Mylene Cruz (Herizen Guardiola) and the rest of the musical gang, with a voiceover on the new clip announcing, "Gonna take our music from minor to major league."

Also starring in the show are Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Cadillac), Jaden Smith (Dizzee Kipling), Skylan Brooks (Ra-Ra Kipling), Tremaine Brown Jr. (Boo Boo Kiping), Mamoudou Athie (Grandmaster Flash), Jimmy Smits (Francisco "Papa Fuerte" Cruz) and Giancarlo Esposito (Ramon Cruz).
