Nelson Cheung refuses to name "husband-stealing" host

10 May – Hong Kong actor Nelson Cheung recently refused to name anybody in particular in reference to a recent column he wrote about a female host "stealing another woman's husband".

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who attended the production commencement ceremony for Checkley Sin's new comedy movie, stated that he was just relaying a friend's experience in the article and had no other intention.

In the column, Nelson alluded that such bad behaviour "runs in the family", which got netizens speculating about sisters working in showbiz, including Jacqueline and Scarlett Wong, Niki and Kathy Chow, as well as Bowie and Boanne Cheung.

"I won't say who it is. Everybody knows that I don't need such an exposure," he said.

Nelson admitted that some people has expressed that the issue has nothing to do with him and that he need not say anything or stir things up.

"But the friend who shared the story with me thanked me because it helped air her grievances after many years. I feel that was well worth doing. I don't care what other people are saying," he said.
