Neelofa wants some space to deal with police investigation
6 Apr – Neelofa is asking to be given some space to resolve the issue concerning the two investigations over her and husband Haris Ismail's supposed violation of the COVID-19 standard operating procedures.
The celebrity-entrepreneur, who appeared at the launch of The Noor app's collaboration with Fipper, declined to make further comments regarding the two issues - the lack of social distancing and proper SOPs at her March wedding, as well as her travelling cross-state supposedly to go on a honeymoon under the pretense of work.
"I don't want to comment at length as it could be detrimental to the situation. Give me space to settle amicably and calmly without pressure from any party. After all, I don't have to explain in detail what I'm going to do. Give me space to resolve it myself with the relevant parties," she said.
Asked if she and her celebrity preacher husband will be testifying to the police, Neelofa refused to make any further statements.
As for her Langkawi trip, which she previously stressed was business-related, Neelofa stated that it was not a spontaneous trip and that everything had been planned for over a month.
"After all, we will be celebrating Ramadan soon. I wanted to complete all the outstanding work before the fasting month began. Praise be to God, everything was resolved last week and through feedbacks from many, we were offered to open more than one branch of our beverage store," she added.
On the other hand, Dang Wangi District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Zainal Abdullah revealed that the investigation is expected to be completed within a week before it is submitted to the Deputy Public Prosecutor for further action.
