National servicemen (NSmen) will be offered discounts at 300 hawker stalls and retail shops from this July, said the People’s Association (PA) on Thursday (28 June).

Some of the participating hawkers and merchants include Tanjong Rhu Wanton Noodle, Chong Pang Food Centre, Torch Kitchen Nasi Lemak & Fusion Food and Tampines Hub’s Swift Health Food, said the PA media release.

PA will also offer a 10 per cent discount to NSmen who sign up for courses and facilities at Community Clubs (CC) in July, as well as to those who sign up for selected land and water-based lifestyle activities at PA’s Water-Venture (WV) centres from 1 July to 31 December this year.

NSmen will have to show their 11B identification cards or be in their uniforms to enjoy the discounts at CCs, WV outlets and participating retailers.

Additionally, eight CCs – Tampines West, Dover, Queenstown, Serangoon, Potong Pasir, Ayer Rajah, Henderson and Ulu Pandan – will be offering extended promotions, such as discounts for gym entry or memberships.

“Apart from showing appreciation, PA hopes to encourage National Servicemen to pick up new skills, stay active and form deeper connections within the community,” said the PA.
