Natalie Tong: I've nothing to do with Eliza Sam's departure
21 Jun – TVB actress Natalie Tong has denied rumours saying that she is one of the reasons why Eliza Sam decided to leave TVB.
As reported on Oriental Daily, tabloids recently claimed that Eliza was originally cast to play the lead in new drama, "The Solution Expert", but that it suddenly went to Natalie instead.
When asked about it at the promotional event of her new drama, "Succession War", Natalie said that the rumour was exaggerated.
"All of my projects are decided by a group of people. I was selected [to do the drama]," she said
Natalie stated that she came to know Eliza better after working together in a travelogue show, and hopes that they will be able to work alongside each other in the future.
When asked if she knew the reason for Eliza's departure, Natalie replied, "Everybody has their own reason."
