Natalie Imbruglia Reacts to David Schwimmer Crushing on Jennifer Aniston While They Were Dating
One of the bigger revelations to come out of the recent Friends reunion on HBO Max was that David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston had a crush on each other while they were filming—but it never worked out because they were always dating other people. And, uh, apparently Natalie Imbruglia was David's other person, and she just reacted to the news.
To rewind just a sec, David told host James Corden that "The first season, I had a major crush on Jen. At some point, we were crushing hard on each other." Nothing happened between them, but their first on-screen kiss came with a ton of built-up IRL tension. "It was like two ships passing, because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary," David said. "We respected that."
So, turns out David was dating Natalie for at least part of this era, and she was asked how she felt about the situation during a recent interview with the Kyle and Jackie O Show. According to the Daily Mail, via E! News, Natalie was asked "Were you wondering if there was a crossover?" and she said "I thought that too. No, I'm joking." She went on to add, "It was such a long time ago, I don't remember. I do remember being on the set and I remember everybody being lovely and really, really nice. I wasn't paying attention to whether they were giving each other ‘little looks' over my shoulder. I don't know if that was happening. I'm OK with whatever happened back then. It was a long time ago."
