Naqiu elated to join Semi-Final "Muzik Muzik"
22 Nov – Naqiu is elated that he is finally able to compete at the semi-final of the annual music event, "Muzik Muzik".
On 21 November, the singer took to social media to express his happiness that his song, "Rindu Separuh Nyawa", a duet with Vanessa Reynauld, made it to the upcoming event.
"Thank you for all the love @naqiurious who never stopped voting for #RinduSeparuhNyawa until they made it to the semi -finals. First time in my career I was nominated to this level," he wrote.
Naqiu also thanked writer and producer Siti Rosmizah who wrote the lyrics, fellow songwriters Wit & Mohsen, as well as his duet partner Vanessa for making it happen.
Having been in the business for more than 20 years, Naqiu made his return with a bang in 2019 after winning the sixth season of "Gegar Vaganza" alongside fellow competitor Hady Mirza.
Earlier this month, he was nominated for the first time in the Top 5 Most Popular Male Singer Xiaomi at the 34th Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian.
The song itself is the theme song for the popular TV adaptation of Siti Rosmizah's novel, "Rindu Awak Separuh Nyawa".
