Naomi Watts Sees Nightmares Become Reality in ‘Shut In’ Trailer

Naomi Watts is seeing her nightmares blur with reality in the suspenseful first trailer for EuropaCorp’s upcoming psychological thriller “Shut In.”

The trailer presents more questions than it answers. It paints Watts as a widowed psychologist who’s living an isolated existence in rural New England, where she takes on a new client, played by Jacob Tremblay (“Room”).

When the boy disappears from her home in a deadly snowstorm, she begins having nightmares and wonders if the boy is haunting her. However, another doctor (Oliver Platt) says her lack of sleep is making it impossible for her to tell what is real.

“Something is going on and it’s not just in my head,” she asserts. “I can prove it. You have to believe me.”

The film is directed by Farren Blackburn from a Black List script written by Christina Hodson. Charlie Heaton and David Cubitt also star.

“Shut In” is set to be released on Nov. 11, 2016.
