Nancy Wu joins Steven Ma's stage play

18 Dec – It was recently reported that TVB actress Nancy Wu will be joining Steven Ma in his play, "By Chance: Xu Zhimo", which will be staged again at the Academy of Performing Arts in June next year.

As reported on Mingpao, Nancy who is also filming her new drama, "Justice Pao: The First Year" early next year, shared that filming is expected to complete by May, which means she only has a month for the stage rehearsal.

"I am very nervous. This is my first stage drama, so I need time to adapt," she said.

Nancy, who has always dreamed of acting in a stage musical also said that the collaboration with Steven is fated.

"We were filming "Deep in the Realm of Conscience" together earlier. When he made me an offer, I quickly agreed," she said.

The actress said that it has been a while since she used her dance skills in an acting project, and that she will cherish the opportunity to showcase her talent in the show.

When asked how much Steven offered her in terms of her remuneration, Nancy smiled and stated, "I would still be willing to do it even if he didn't offer me any money."

Steven, who produced, directed, and starred in the play about the titular 20th century Chinese poet, debuted the show last year, which co-starred Mimi Lo and Joey Meng.
