Nancy Wu denies being envious of Alice Chan

22 Oct – TVB actress Nancy Wu has recently denied rumours that she dropped out from the upcoming TVB drama, "Forensic Heroes IV" because of Alice Chan.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who spoke about the rumours recently, stated that the only reason she declined the project was because of conflicting schedules.

"Alice and I had a great working relationship when we did "Deep in the Realm of Conscience". We're very good friends. That's definitely not the case," she said.

Previously, it was rumoured that Nancy had originally accepted the drama, but decided to withdraw from it after finding out that Alice would be in it as well. Tabloids claimed that the actress was unhappy that Alice's performance as Princess Taiping in the previous drama overshadowed her own and she didn't want Alice to outshine her again in the new drama.

Both actresses have dismissed the rumours as false, with Alice saying that Nancy had been a great co-star when they were filming the aforementioned palace drama.

"Everyone suffered a lot filming this series. If we didn't have good partners like Nancy, it would have been hard to endure it. Us sisters will continue to support each other," said Alice.
