Namewee is in trouble yet again after releasing new video

19 Feb – Controversial artiste Namewee is in legal trouble again following the release of his latest music video called "Like a Dog".
Namewee, or real name Wee Meng Chee, is under investigation after he released a YouTube video on 10 February 2018, featuring a group of individuals wearing dog masks while making inappropriate dance moves near the Putra Perdana Building, which houses the Prime Minister's Office in Putrajaya.
Not only does the video contain explicit dance moves, but it also appears to have a mosque that is visible at a distance in the background.
Namewee has, however, posted a more recent video on his Facebook denying that it was a mosque.
"Like A Dog" caused a massive uproar among Malaysians after its release, including from the Artiste Association of Malaysia's (SENIMAN) president Rozaidi Abd Jamil, or famously known as Zed Zaidi, who suggests revoking Namewee's citizenship due to cultural and religious insensitivities.
According to Malay Mail Online, Zed also suggested that authorities bar the rapper from further public performances to avoid damaging the image of other Malaysian entertainers.

Namewee is currently being investigated under Section 298 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for his "Like a Dog" video.
