9 Aug – Nadine Lustre has denied previous statement from Viva Films that she withdrew from her Metro Manila Film Festival movie due to medical reasons.

As reported on ABS-CBN, the actress, who spoke about her departure from the film "Miracle in Cell No. 7", stated that she only wanted to get some rest, reiterating her previous response that she was feeling burnt out.

"I really requested for a break, so I could recharge," she added.

Said Lustre, she has had experienced struggling with depression a few years ago, after working back-to-back with partner James Reid in five movies and three TV series in just two years.

"Hopefully it won't happen again, because it is really exhausting. Eventually, you just want to stay away or rest or just go home," she said.

Lustre is currently promoting her new movie, "Indak", co-starring Sam Concepcion.
