Nadhir Nasar unsure to react at being compared to "Squid Game" star Jung Ho-Yeon
12 Oct – Malaysian actor Nadhir Nasar finds himself gaining attention lately, just for resembling the currently most followed South Korean actress and star of Netflix's "Squid Game", Jung Ho-Yeon.
The 25 year-old actor, who is still considered a newbie in the entertainment industry, told Berita Harian that it was surprising at first that people would notice such a thing in the first place.
"Honestly, I don't know how to react when people talked about our resemblance. But I am grateful if they think we look alike," he said.
Nadhir stated that he did his own research about Jung after being told of their resemblance, and realised that they both have similar backgrounds with both starting their careers as a model.
"I was a model too four years ago, before I joined showbiz," he added.
On the other hand, Nadhir, who stars in the drama, "i-Tanggang: Mother of All Lies" stated that he is elated to be listed in the preliminary nominations at the upcoming Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian.
"I will leave it in the fans' hands. I do believe that this is all fated. I would be thankful if I were to win," he added.
