Nabila Huda wants celebrities to stop showing off on social media

24 May – Nabila Huda wants all celebrities and social media influencers to stop showing off, especially during these tough times.

The actress, who had a virtual interview with ASTRO Awani recently, stated that celebrities and influencers should use their social media accounts to raise more awareness about COVID-19 and what should be done to prevent infection, instead of doing things that could draw the public's ire.

"It's time for us to use our platform for better things, to make people like us and respect us for our honesty and our kindness. I hope that this will be helpful, because this comes from the heart. It's my own view," she said.

She added that there is no need for these celebrities to show off things that only sparked other people's anger.

"Start to control your social media now. There is no need to post ridiculous things, to show off things that will make people hate you, judge you, when the truth is we are all facing the same situation. The difference is we are a public figure," she said.

In the same interview, Nabila admitted that she was heartbroken upon finding out that she was tested positive for COVID-19 even after vigorously followed all the guidelines.

"I found out that someone I knew and some of their friends had been tested positive, and I had been working closely with one of them," she said.

She confessed that the experience was a lesson for her to always take care of herself, seeing that there are irresponsible people around who would not care about others.
