Mui Siu Ching: Chrissie Chau is still a part of "Realm"

18 May – TVB producer Mui Siu Ching recently admitted that the issue between TVB and HMV Digital China might play a part in Chrissie Chau's absence from the press conference of her new drama, "Deep in the Realm of Conscience".

As reported on Mingpao, the actress who plays a big role in the upcoming palace drama, was nowhere to be seen at the event held on 15 May, sparking rumours that she was banned by TVB due to her being an artiste under HMV Digital China's management.

It is noted that TVB was involved in a lawsuit against the company that was reportedly caused by the issues concerning the film, "Return of the Cuckoo". Earlier, another HMV actor Louis Cheung was not invited to any promotional events held by TVB for his own drama, "My Ages Apart".

When asked about it at the event, Mui said that she will let TVB address the rumours themselves, though she acknowledged that the lawsuit may play some role in Chrissie's absence.

When asked if there is a chance that Chrissie will be edited out from the drama, Mui said with certainty that it would not be done.

"Everybody has done their part well. Chrissie will also use her own platform to promote the drama," she added.
