MTV Video Music Awards: How to Watch Online

The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards are almost upon us, promising some of the biggest names in Hollywood and music.

Want to watch the big show, but not near a TV? Don’t worry: There are options to watch it online. MTV is providing live streams of the event, starting with the red carpet pre-show, hosted by DJ Khaled and Charlamagne Tha God, at 7 p.m. EST, and continuing into the ceremony. Click here to head to the livestream.

The show starts at 9 p.m. EST, airing live from Madison Square Garden on MTV. The MTV app will be providing behind-the-scenes footage of the show, and is available on iTunes, Google Play, Roku, Xbox One, Amazon and Chromecast. The app, however, will require a cable login for the inside access.

MTV is prepping for a big show this year, with performances set for Nick Jonas, the Chainsmokers, Ariana Grande with Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and more. VMAs royalty Britney Spears is planning on making a comeback on the show for her first VMAs performance in nearly a decade. She’ll be performing her new single “Make Me” with G-Eazy.

Eyes will also be on Kanye West, who also has a special place in VMA history. The VMAs Twitter account posted that West will be “in the building,” and TMZ reported that producers are giving West four minutes on stage.
