‘Mr Robot’ Final Season Gets Premiere Date – And a Creepy ‘Silent Night’ Trailer (Video)

USA Network has finally announced when “Mr. Robot” will return for its final season, and with the release date comes a trailer set to a very unsettling version of the Christmas classic, “Silent Night.”

The final season will premiere on Sunday, October 6 at 10 p.m. ET.

The fourth and final run will take place over the Christmas holiday in 2015 and, according to the network, “will be filled with hacking, splashed with blood and answer the series’ most pressing questions.” Season 4 will pick up where the third season finale left off, delving into the pros and cons of Elliot (Rami Malek) hitting “send” on the email that could reverse 5/9.

“Mr. Robot” premiered in 2015 and marked the network’s shift from its “Blue Skies” programming aesthetic to darker and edgier fare, which included shows like “Colony,” “Queen of the South” and “The Sinner.”

Along with Malek, “Mr. Robot” stars Christian Slater, Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin, Martin Wallström, Grace Gummer, Michael Cristofer and BD Wong. “Mr Robot” comes from writer, director and executive producer Sam Esmail, as well as Anonymous Content executive producers Steve Golin and Chad Hamilton.

When it returns, it will be almost two years since its last season, which ended in December of 2017. In that time, Malek was filming his Oscar-winning turn as Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in “Bohemian Rhapsody” and Esmail was directing the first season of Amazon’s “Homecoming.”
