Moses Chan enjoys the experience of the action genre

15 Oct – It is inevitable for an actor to be injured when starring in an action drama, which is why TVB actor Moses Chan is prepared physically and mentally for his role as a hired killer in the upcoming drama, "Assassin".

As reported on Mingpao, the actor who was seen filming an action scene on the streets of Yau Ma Tei recently, shared that he has been maintaining his stamina and physique for the role by stepping up on his fitness exercise.

However, although he didn't take the initiative to ask for a body double and is prepared for his action scenes, the action choreographer still arranged one for him for the more complicated fight sequences.

When mentioned about co-star Wayne Lai's recent injury, he said, "No action scene can be done without any injury. You're considered lucky if you come out unscathed. Actors want to do their best and they will try everything as long as it doesn't pose a risk to their life."

Moses revealed that the cast members have already undergone training for three months prior to filming, but that mistakes do tend to happen.

"The most critical thing is your own safety," he added.

When asked whether doing action series is harder than his usual dramas, Moses admitted that it has been challenging, but that he is up for it.

"Tackling a different kind of genre will bring something fresh for the audience. You can also challenge yourself. Even if the body is covered with bruises, it doesn't compare to the experience," he said.
