Morrisons launches mince pie flavoured Christmas sandwich
Morrisons has released a new Christmas sandwich which incorporates the taste of a mince pie.
The supermarket giant’s latest festive offering combines a filling of creamy cheddar cheese and Wensleydale with a mice pie chutney, contained with a fruity panettone style bap.
The sandwich, available from today, Monday 28 October, to Tuesday 24 December, costs £3 in-store at Morrisons. It is also available as part of the retailer’s regular meal deal, which includes all Food to Go mains, snacks and drinks for £3.50.

Richard Jones, Food to Go Buyer at Morrisons, said in a statement: “We’ve upped our Christmas sarnie game this year to offer something completely new for customers."
While veggies may delight over the meat-free option, the jury is still out over whether the dessert-themed festive sarnie will be a hit – or if the prospect of having a sweet treat inspired sandwich is just too bonkers.
Coming up from Morrisons’ Christmas range is vegan pigs in blankets, available from 27 November for £2.50; pork & festive fruit stuffing pies, available for £3 from 2 December; and a baking brie with cranberries and sloe gin, also available for £6 from 2 December.
And then for the main event, there’s a Best British free-range bronze whole turkey available, although price and release date is yet to be confirmed.
