Morissette Amon stars in "Song of the Fireflies"

30 Jan – Singer Morissette Amon will be part of the upcoming musical film, "Song of the Fireflies".

As reported on ABS-CBN News, the singer shared the good news on social media, saying that she is honoured to be offered a role in a movie helmed by the same production that created the hit MMFF movie, "Ang Larawan".

Amon will play the role of Alma Taldo, the mentor to the real life Loboc Children's Choir (LCC).

The movie itself, written by Sarge Lacuesta and directed by King Palisoc, will revolve around the real life story of the choir group and how it has brought Loboc's musical heritage to the global arena.

Other stars who will be involved in the project include Rachel Alejandro, Krystal Brimner, Noel Comia, Cris Villonco, Donny Pangilinan and the current members of the LCC.

The songs in the musical are also written by Ryan Cayabyab, who composed the music to "Ang Larawan".
