More performers cancel shows due to Coronavirus

5 Feb – It was reported that several more performers are cancelling their concert in order to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.

As reported on Mingpao, Karen Mok, who was scheduled to perform at the Hong Kong Coliseum on 20 and 21 March, recently announced that she has decided to postpone the show indefinitely to ensure the safety of performers and audiences alike through these hard times.

Cantopop composer Chan Fai Young also decided to forgo his show in Mongkok planned for 14 and 15 February, saying that they will announce new details once the situation is better.

William Chan, who has been developing his career in mainland China, was scheduled to perform in Guangzhou on 14 March. However, manager Mani Fok announced on Weibo that the singer has also decided to postpone his show and had made refund arrangements.

On the other hand, Julian Cheung, who previously expressed his interest to hold a concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum in April, may also reschedule his show because of the epidemic.
