"More Than Blue" team to reunite for follow-up movie
19 Mar – Following the grandeur success of "More Than Blue", Fox Network Group Asia and Singapore studio mm2 Entertainment are working together again for a follow-up movie, "A Trip With Your Wife".
The return includes director Gavin Lin, writer Hermes Lu and a few cast members from "More Than Blue", according to The Hollywood Reporter.
So those who enjoyed crying their hearts out to Jasper Liu and Ivy Chen's romance in the movie, rejoice, because these two could be the returning cast members. Though at the moment, there is no confirmation yet on who will be joining director Lin in his upcoming movie.
Cora Yim, senior VP and head of Chinese Entertainment at FNGA, said that they have felt for a few years now that romance would be a big movie trend.
Considering the notable success of "More Than Blue", which Yim said "has validated our strategy", they are now on board once again as a co-producer on "A Trip With Your Wife".
As last year's top local film in Taiwan and the highest-grossing Asian film in Singapore for 2018, "More Than Blue" has found major successes throughout Asia including in Malaysia, where it attracted quite a number of teary-eyed audiences, and most recently in China, where it pocketed 330 million yuan on its opening weekend.
