Moon Lau learns to cherish health after hospitalisation
22 Apr - TVB actress Moon Lau recently addressed the previous Instagram post she made about a trip to the hospital, saying that she had a gastrointestinal inflammation, Mingpao reported.
The actress, who appeared at a cosmetics event recently, shared that she went to the hospital for a check-up after experiencing a painful abdominal pain that she described to have felt like "twisting a towel".
"After the blood and stool test, I was told that I had a gastrointestinal inflammation, and was asked to stay in the hospital to receive saline drip. I didn't even dare tell my mother about it, for fear she would worry. I just told her after I completed the formalities," she said.
She admitted that she had actually had a stomachache for a week before she went to the doctors, adding, "I was busy with work at the time, so I just thought that it will go away on its own."
Moon said that the trip to the hospital has made her think about her health seriously for the first time.
"It's a reminder that you have to go and see the doctor when you feel uncomfortable about your health. You can't delay diagnosis or treatment. I also learned how important it is to cherish one's health," she said.
