Monty Python actor John Cleese returns to Singapore for a comedy show in March 2020

SINGAPORE – The legendary Monty Python actor John Cleese will return to Singapore with his new show, In Praise of Silly, on Saturday (7 Mar 2020), 8pm at University Cultural Centre Hall, NUS. His last show was in 2014, where he performed at the same venue in two sold-out shows.

“I​t’s been too long since I was in Singapore. Last time I enjoyed it very much and looking forward to coming back. This will be the only Asian stop in South East Asia. See you all in March,” Cleese shared in a press statement.

Cleese will be regaling his Singapore audience with a wide variety of silly behaviours, incomprehensible mimes, and Algerian love songs. These will be interspersed with moments of philosophical significance and profound spiritual insights.

Early bird tickets are going on sale today (19 Dec), and will start from $118.

Standard tickets start from $128 and will be on sale from 2 Jan 2020 at 12:00am SGT onwards. All tickets will be available via the official ticketing agent ​SISTIC. The show is organised by LA Comedy Live and Adrian Bohm.
