This Mom Took Her Sweet, Sweet Revenge When a Man Stole a Parking Spot for Parents
It's hard enough taking your little ones on an outing. It's even harder if they're potty training, in a stroller, or if you're also expecting. That's where mom and baby parking spots come in handy. So when a person who doesn't understand the struggle steals the spot - and refuses to give it up - things can get a little messy.
Alex, author of the blog Make Mine a Double, tried to break this reasoning down for a stranger after stopping by a local grocery store with her two young twins, Osian and Rhydia. "When I got back to my car an oversized, too old to be a boy racer, pulled into the PARENT AND BABY space next to me as if it was a F1 Pitt stop," she writes on Facebook. "The break neck speed made me shit my pants a little. I thought maybe they were giving everything away for free in Tesco to warrant the urgency."
She politely pointed out to the driver that the space was for parents and babies. His response: "So?"
Alex explained why the spaces are important for parents, and pointed out that it was also supposed to rain that day. The man retorted that it wasn't his problem. When she (again) asked him to move because there were no more designated family spaces left, he said "There will be when you leave, now Fuck off you fat bitch."
Alex "tried to keep calm and replied, 'I hope you have kids and experience really really difficult day and a knob like you fucks you over one day.'"
He flipped her off and walked into the store. "As I turned to the boys in the car there was an overwhelming smell. My heart sank," Alex writes. "Then I decided to get even. I used my bad nappy for good."
She wedged her son's dirty diaper between the man's windshield wipers. Her only regret: not hanging around to see his reaction. In her eyes, it was a win for parents everywhere.
"I did receive affirmation from another woman who must have witnessed the incident 'Thats genius' as she walked off with a smile," Alex adds. "Pour me a massive double!"
Sometimes you just have to get your hands dirty for the greater good.
