Moira dela Torre receives multi-platinum awards
19 Oct – Moira dela Torre was moved to tears after being awarded multi-platinum awards for her albums following her performance on "ASAP Natin To".
As reported on ABS-CBN, the singer who sang "Tagpuan" and "Malaya" at the event, accepted an eight-time platinum award for her album "Malaya", two-time platinum award for her single, "Ikaw at Ako", as well as a platinum award for her current album "Patawad" from Star Music's Jonathan Manalo.
"Thank you so much to all my listeners, to all my fans especially my ABS-CBN family, my Cornerstone family and my husband. I know that it's been hard for everyone and this family is still so strong and still gives me so much strength to celebrate artists and OPM. Thak you so much, ABS-CBN. Thank you for being my family. This is for God first and for you," she expressed.
dela Torre also promised to continue writing and performing original compositions.
Said Manalo, the singer is the first female OPM artiste with the most number of digital platinum certifications, being successful in selling her record despite the current situation.
