Model Demi Rose has shut down critics who made fun of her walk during a recent runway appearance.
The British beauty debuted her 70-piece swimwear collection with lingerie brand Oh Polly during Miami Fashion Week in July, and strutted down the catwalk wearing a gold metallic thong swimsuit.
A video resurfaced a few days ago on Twitter, showing Demi with an unusual gait as she appeared in the show, with the clip prompting hundreds of users to poke fun and crack jokes.
"Why is Demi Rose's walk strange?" one person tweeted, while another posted: "Demi Rose is beautiful but her runway walk was embarrassing."
The 24-year-old was quick to shut down the online trolls, and explained that her clunky walk was due to a combination of nerves, a missing bikini top, and shoes that were too big.
"All jokes aside yes I'm not the best runway model. I was super nervous, didn't want to do it, my top went missing backstage, my shoes were too big for me in height and size not to mention I was dealing with personal issues losing my parents, my mom a month before," Demi began a series of tweets.
"I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone, make them and myself proud and that takes a lot of bravery, so for that, I'm proud of myself because there's a lot that wouldn't have done it. But it's done now. I can laugh too but I'm still here and it's all Gucccci (sic)!" she fired.
And despite the criticism, Demi has no regrets about taking part in the Oh Polly show.
"In hindsight it was a really fun experience, showcasing my own collection which I was really proud of. I'm really grateful for all the opportunities I've got given. Thank you to those who support me!" the model added.
