MMA star Angela Lee tied the knot with Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt holder Bruno Pucci last Wednesday (18 July) on a beach in Hawaii, attended by around 100 guests in an intimate wedding ceremony.

The newly-weds are set to go to Santorini, Greece, for their honeymoon in celebration of Lee’s parents’ 25th anniversary.

The two fighters, both of whom are ONE Championship competitors, started dating in January last year. Pucci proposed to Lee at the Singapore Botanic Gardens later in the year.

Lee announced her engagement on Instagram in October last year with the caption: “YES! YES! YES! A million times, YES! Bruno Pucci, thank you for completing my fairytale I can’t wait to (officially) be yours forever!”.

Lee first met her 27-year-old husband in Singapore after joining martial arts academy Evolve MMA, where Pucci was working as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor.

Lee, who represents Singapore, recently retained her ONE Championship Women’s Atomweight World Championship in May after defeating Japanese fighter Mei Yamaguchi.

Lee made history by becoming the youngest champion in MMA history in 2016.
