Miriam Yeung happy to win first TV award

15 Jan – Miriam Yeung recently admitted that she was touched and honoured to win Most Popular Female Character at the recently held TVB Anniversary Awards.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who spoke to the media after accepting her award - a title that she shared with Selena Lee, shared that this particular accolade is her first ever for her work on television.

"It's very memorable and a valuable experience. I still think I have a lot of room of improvement and can do better. There were one or two scenes that I thought I didn't do well," she said.

Miriam also said that she is thankful for the opportunity to work with many TV veterans like Benz Hui, Cheung Kwok Keung, and Lily Leung.

Asked if she would do another drama in the future, the actress said that she would think about it if another great opportunity arise.

In her acceptance speech, Miriam thanked "Wonder Women" producer and screenwriter Chan Bo Wah for offering the role to her.

"This drama is about women empowerment. After filming the series, I reflected a lot about life. Being a woman, a mother, and a wife is not something that can be traded," she expressed.
