Miriam Yeung denies getting Andy Lau's HK Coliseum dates

28 May - Hong Kong singer-actress Miriam Yeung has denied that her application to perform at the Hong Kong Coliseum at the end of the year has been approved.

It was previously reported that there has been an opening for the coveted venue some time at the end of the year, after Andy Lau, who was supposed to hold his concert there, had to cancel due to his horse riding accident.

According to Mingpao, a lot of stars have been trying to apply for the said opening - from 13 December to 1 January 2018 - including Justin Lo and Nancy Sit.

However, it was rumoured that Miriam has managed to book all the dates for her upcoming show.

When asked if she would give in to Nancy, who previously said that she would ask Miriam to set some of the dates for her, the singer said that there has been no confirmation yet whether she will get it.

"The company applied it for me, but we haven't got any news yet. But still, it's not like I am taking it all. I am not greedy. We only booked for a few days worth of concert," she said.

Miriam also stated that if she couldn't get it this year, she will try again next year.
