Ming Dao's camp asks to give the actor some space

6 Jan – Ming Dao's camp has recently released a statement asking the media and netizens alike to give the actor some space, following news of his brother's alleged suicide and murder of the brother's wife and child.

As reported on ET Today, the actor's rep shared that Ming is extremely shocked and saddened by the news and is still trying to understand what actually happened, seeing that he has no knowledge of the case.

"Since he has to respect the investigation and know that it cannot be made public, from here onwards, he will only respond to the police," said the rep.

They also stated that Ming, real name Lin Chao-chang, will do his best to aid the authorities in their investigation and be there for his family in this time of need.

Celebrity friends, including Joe Chen, also took to social media to remind netizens not to speculate about the issue or harass the Lin family.

The body of 42-year-old Lin was found hanging in a forested area of Neihu District, with his 40-year-old wife and 12-year-old son dead nearby. The police suspected it to be a murder-suicide case, based on previous text messages sent by Lin to a friend expressing his thoughts about ending his life due to his financial debt.
