Mimi Kung's daughter to sign with Johnnie To?
19 Oct - Although rumours are rife that her daughter Ashley is set to make her showbiz debut, Hong Kong actress Mimi Kung has stated that she hopes that her daughter will finish school first.
As reported on Mingpao, the 54-year-old actress, who appeared at an event recently, responded to reports that filmmaker Johnnie To is interested in managing her 17-year-old daughter's career.
She said, "Ashley is currently still studying and preparing for the university entrance exam. The most important thing for her right now is that she finishes her studies."
She added that her daughter will be attending an event soon and will explain more about it then.
When asked if she has any qualms about Ashley joining showbiz, Mimi said that it will be decided only after Ashley finishes her studies.
On the other hand, the actress, who hasn't done TVB dramas for a while now, shared that she has recently concluded filming TVB's new drama, "Flying Tigers".
