Miley Cyrus Was Just Seen Kissing a New Man
Miley Cyrus was seen kissing singer Cody Simpson in L.A. yesterday.
The PDA arrives about two weeks after Cyrus's breakup with Kaitlynn Carter was reported.
It's been almost two months since Cyrus announced her split from husband Liam Hemsworth.
Does Miley Cyrus have a new fling on her hands? The pop star was seen kissing longtime friend and fellow singer Cody Simpson while out in L.A. yesterday, and apparently the PDA took place more than once.
E! News reports that the two shared a "quick kiss" while stopping by a grocery store for a drink and sushi. Footage shared by TMZ also shows the two kissing at the smoothie bowl spot Backyard Bowls. The outlet reports that Cyrus, 26, and Simpson, 22, "appeared to be having a pretty serious conversation before Miley moved over to sit on his lap, and before long their PDA escalated to a make-out session."
Miley and Cody have been known to be pals for years. He was seen in her friend group when she was dating Patrick Schwarzenegger back in 2014. At the time, Australian-born Simpson was dating Gigi Hadid, but they split up in 2015.
He also opened up about his friendship with Cyrus around the same time, telling GQ Australia in December 2015, "Miley is one of my best friends and she helps with some of that transitional stuff – trying to escape your childhood. She’s super open-minded and I’m working on becoming more like that."
Cyrus's PDA with Simpson arrives on the heels of her breakup from Kaitlynn Carter, which was reported two weeks ago. It also comes nearly two months after she announced her separation from Liam Hemsworth, whom she married in December 2018. Miley and Cody have not yet responded to the dating speculation, but sources told People last week that Cyrus was "looking forward" to being single after parting ways from Carter.

She's also said to be "[focusing] on her career" after the breakups, which seems evident from the selfie she posted this week from the recording studio. "I am so fucking inspired right now," she wrote.
