Miley Cyrus isn't happy about Stefano Gabbana calling Selena Gomez 'ugly'

Miley Cyrus has jumped to the defence of her friend Selena Gomez after one of Dolce & Gabbana’s co-founders called her “ugly” in an Instagram comment.

ICYMI, controversial designer Stefano Gabbana threw some major shade at singer Selena Gomez earlier this week on Instagram.

On a post about Gomez on @thecatwalkitalia, Italian-born Gabbana commented “È proprio brutta!” or “She’s really ugly!” when translated to English.

He also later agreed with another comment likening Gomez to a “Pomeranian dog,” writing, “hahahahahaha is true hahahaha.”

You’re laughing on your own with that one, pal.

Though Selena maintained a dignified silence about the attack, thousands of her fans used social media to defend her.

And Team Selena included fellow singer Miley Cyrus.

“What that dick head said (if it’s true) is f*cking false and total bull sh*t,” she wrote on a throwback picture of the pair hugging posted on the fan account MileyOfficially.

She also pointed out the patently obvious: “She fine as f*ck.”

It isn’t the first time Miley Cyrus has faced-off with the controversial brand. Last year she called the designers out about their stances on IVF and gay parenting.

Back in 2015, Domenico Dolce told Panorama Magazine that “we oppose gay adoptions. The only family is the traditional one … No chemical offsprings and rented uterus; Life has a natural flow, there are things that should not be changed.”

After her brother Braison Cyrus walked the catwalk for the luxury fashion house, the star congratulated her sibling by sharing an image of him on the runway, but took issue with the brand’s political opinions.

“PS D&G, I STRONGLY disagree with your politics,” she wrote in the accompanying caption.

Stefano Gabbana was quick to respond to Cyrus’ dressing down calling the musician “Ignorant!!” in the comments section, before adding “for your stupid comment never more work with him.”

“We are Italian and we don’t care about politics and mostly neither about the American one!” he later added on his own Instagram post.

“We make dresses and if you think about doing politics with a post it’s simply ignorant. We don’t need your posts or comments so next time please ignore us!!”

Jaime King wasn’t about to let Gabbana’s rude remarks about Selena pass without comment either.

The actress retweeted a shocked response from InStyle magazine to his comments that read: “Wait, what? Dolce & Gabbana’s co-founder literally just called Selena Gomez ugly…”

Before adding her own words of support to the singer: “Because they are ugly humans who cannot handle the beauty of S that radiates from her Soul and her physical being. #boycottdolceandgabbana.”

If you’re one of Gabbana’s 1 million Insta followers, you’ll know this isn’t his first public outburst.

Earlier this month the designer stoked an online spat after leaving a typically provocative comment on an image of Kate Moss.

The same Instagram account, @thecatwalkitalia, shared a picture of the supermodel wearing a short, black Saint Laurent number before inviting followers to share their opinions on the look.

And Gabbana was happy to oblige leaving a short yet scathing “No” in response.
