Miles Teller Fires Back at 'Esquire' Over 'Dickishness' Story: 'Couldn't Be More Wrong'

Miles Teller is on the cover of Esquire, but he’s not happy about the interview.
The 28-year-old Insurgent star hit back at an Esquire tweet promoting the cover story, which read, “Miles Teller is on a quest for greatness (with a bit of dickishness too).”
“Couldn’t be more wrong,” the actor responded. “I don’t think there’s anything cool or entertaining about being a dick or an asshole. Very misrepresenting.”
You can see why Teller would be upset. The Esquire story, titled, “Miles Teller Is Young, Talented, and Doesn’t Give a Rat’s Ass What You Think,” starts off with the line, “You’re sitting across from Miles Teller at the Luminary restaurant in Atlanta and trying to figure out if he’s a dick. ”

“I don’t give a sh*t,” Teller is quoted saying in the interview. “I can either censor myself or not, and you’re always trying to figure it out. It’s how you deal with the paparazzi. Do you not do what you would do? Do you live your life with all these filters and censors because everyone has a camera? Or do you f**king dance how you would dance and have people say, ‘Oh, he’s on drugs’? I was drinking and was at a f**king Brett Dennen f**king concert.”
Esquire has yet to respond to Teller’s tweet.
Meanwhile, Teller’s Insurgent character Peter is undergoing a transformation in the newest film. In July, Teller talked to ET about his reflective arc in the sequel.
“In Insurgent, you really start to see [Peter] question this person that he’s been,” he said. “By the end of the movie, you realise that he really doesn’t like himself.”
