Mikee Cojuangco has no reason for her showbiz absence
21 Mar - Mikee Cojuangco may have been away from showbiz for more than five years now, but according to the "Do Re Mi" star, she has no specific reason when it comes to her hiatus.
As reported on Push, the actress, who spoke to the media recently, shared, "I don't think anything really is technically keeping me from showbiz. I think it's a busy schedule I keep that doesn't really allow me to be committed to some showbiz projects."
Cojuangco said that she does miss working on her own show like before, but at the same time, her current schedule also enables her to have a social life.
"Where I am in life right now, I am not taping, I am not shooting, which means I have time to eat in a restaurant, go around the mall, and interact with people. It's the kind of thing I missed a lot when I was in showbiz," she said.
However, Cojuangco stressed that she is not against doing movies or performing on stage, and that she will wait for the opportunity to arise.
In related news, Cojuangco has also been appointed the WWF's Earth Hour ambassador for the Philippines for the fifth time.
