"20th Century Women" the latest drama from director Mike Mills, has been bestowed a holiday season release date, signaling it could be selected for Oscar contention.

The coming-of-age story, starring Annette Bening, Greta Gerwig, Elle Fanning, and Billy Crudup, will screen first as the Centerpiece film of the 54th New York Film Festival on October 8, before debuting in theaters via a limited release on Christmas Day (December 25, 2016), ahead of a wider release on January 20, 2016.

Set in Santa Barbara in the late 1970s, the film centers on three women of varying ages, who teach a young boy about girls, life and love (via The Hollywood Reporter).
